yeah, I burned dozens and dozens of John Piper messages to listen to when driving around all day. They’ve been going through Romans for years, so he really takes time to dig deep into scripture. He’s the first evangelical theological pastor i’ve listened to and I can’t get enough of him. All the messages are at desiringgod.org. You can…[Read more]

One message that really helped me is John Piper’s 2 part message “There is no partiality with God” at desiringgod.org. I REALLY recommend checking it out. Here’s a quote from it. The Scripture is Romans 2:11-16

“Not Having the Law Is Not the Basis of Judgment

Something I was thinking about. I always hear the argument/statements about how could someone be held responsible for their accountability to the gospel if they are isolated and never receive it. Something hit me. If all life came from two people, then they were supposed to teach their children the statutes of God. Then those adults were supposed…[Read more]

    • I wonder if the argument, “what about the people who’ve never heard the gospel?”, is not just a feeble attempt to find a loop hole in God’s law. Meaning if someone, somewhere gets off the hook, then there’s wiggle room for me and I will be able to justify myself before the Lord on judgment day. They forget Rom 1:20 “For since the creation of…[Read more]

i completely agree about Jesus meaning that the ‘one way’ WAS His sacrifice. That theologically and the ONLY way that a people can even be in the presence of a holy God IS a sacrifice. God couldn’t just say “its okay, come on in” cause He is just and that would go against who He is. The sacrifice is a gift the way I see it. Like you said,…[Read more]

all i know is that there are jews that are elect. They were chosen a long time ago. Currently, they have rejected Christ as the Messiah. They end up worshiping the Anti-Christ in the rebuilt temple thinking HE is the messiah. When all is revealed, I believe they recognize their error, repent and spread the gospel during the Tribulation after…[Read more]

another thingie (lol i ramble) Is I believe we are witnessing the final harvest. also, I believe that Satan is let out for the sole purpose of destruction/lake of fire. One interesting thing you said that has been tossed around in my head a bunch is the “fence sitter of 1850″. It seems like I’m still on the fence about that concept. Here is where i’m at with possibilities. This is NOT based on Scripture while I’m typing this. It might be due to stuff read in past but nothing comes to mind.

I believe they are the ones that are God’s elect and have been part of the promise since the covenents with Abraham. I believe they repent and turn back to God at/during tribulation. Discipline ends, promise fulfilled.

about the people being alive during the tribulation being in a special place. Aren’t all the ‘actual’ believers raptured at this point??? And if not (Bill said pray for pre-trib but be prepared to go through it) aren’t the events of the trib pretty much gonna kill the population? from what I understand, satan is in the abyss during those thousand years then thrown into the lake of fire (hell) forever and ever. Never comes back outta the lake of fire.
